Rising country rocker Ella Langley has confirmed that her highly anticipated next album won’t be arriving until sometime in 2026, leaving fans both eager and understanding as she takes the time to craft her next chapter.

After a breakout year in 2024 — thanks to her explosive debut album “Excuse the Mess,” a string of successful collaborations (most notably with Riley Green on “You Look Like You Love Me”), and standout festival appearances — Langley has clearly become one of country music’s freshest, boldest voices. But for those hoping for a follow-up sooner than later, the Alabama-born singer-songwriter is choosing patience over pressure.
A Thoughtful Delay
According to a recent interview and several cryptic Instagram stories, Langley is currently deep in the writing and recording phase, but she emphasized that the process is “more about getting it right than getting it fast.”

“I want this next record to show where I’m really at,” Langley shared in a Q&A after her performance at the Highways Festival in London. “I’ve grown a lot since the first album — musically, emotionally, and just as a woman. I’m not rushing something that means everything to me.”
What to Expect in 2026
While the new record may still be a year away, early signs suggest a more refined but still unapologetically bold version of Langley. Sources close to her camp say she’s experimenting with more acoustic textures while keeping her edge intact — blending honky-tonk storytelling with Southern rock grit.

Collaborations are also expected to return. Riley Green is reportedly contributing vocals or songwriting once again, and Langley hinted at a duet with a female artist she calls “a true outlaw.”
Fans can also expect more introspective content. One song teased on her socials — possibly titled “Backseat Confessions” — featured only Langley and a guitar, singing about quiet regrets and road-trip memories in the early morning light.
In the Meantime…
While the full album is off the table for 2025, Langley is not leaving fans empty-handed. She’s set to release a few standalone singles later this year, including a stripped-down ballad in August and a “rowdy barroom anthem” in the fall. She’ll also be on tour throughout the South and Midwest, including stops at Red Rocks and the Houston Rodeo.

Her current duet with Riley Green, “You Look Like You Love Me,” continues to climb country charts and has been included in the Grand Ole Opry’s list of “100 Greatest Country Songs” from the 2010s–2020s — a major nod to her growing influence.
