“We Love You Ozzy” — Tributes Pour In from Music Legends and Celebrities Around the World as the Prince of Darkness Takes His Final Bow and an Era of Rock Says Goodbye to One of Its Greatest Icons

A Wave of Love from Music Icons

The death of Ozzy Osbourne at 76 brought a wave of emotional messages from musicians and celebrities across the world. Many shared short but powerful tributes online. “Long live the Oz!” wrote Questlove, while Flavor Flav said he was “real heartbroken.” Heavy metal band Pantera added, “We wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you.”

Sir Elton John offered a longer message, calling Ozzy “a dear friend and a huge trailblazer who secured his place in the pantheon of rock gods — a true legend. He was also one of the funniest people I’ve ever met. I will miss him dearly.”

Short and Honest Goodbyes

Some stars chose just a few words to say goodbye. “No words, we love you Ozzy,” wrote Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day. Jack White simply posted, “He made it.”

Ozzy’s passing comes just over two weeks after he performed at his farewell concert, “Back to the Beginning.” The event marked his final time on stage in his hometown of Birmingham.

This is a developing story.
