Twisted Sister Announce First Show of 50th Anniversary Reunion Tour

Twisted Sister has officially announced their return to the stage after a decade-long hiatus. Details were shared on Facebook.

The band confirmed their first show as part of their 50th anniversary reunion tour. This marks a significant milestone for the heavy metal legends.

“After 10 long years, Twisted Sister is finally back and confirmed! July 3rd 2026 for Rock Fest in Barcelona, Spain,” the official announcement read.

The statement emphasized the historic nature of this performance for both the band and the festival.

“The 50th anniversary of Twisted Sister and their concert at Barcelona Rock Fest, a decade after their last show at Can Zam, will be an exclusive and unforgettable milestone in the history of the festival,” the announcement continued. “Dee Snider and company will return with all their greatest hits to turn the festival upside down!”

The Barcelona Rock Fest performance will mark exactly ten years since their previous show at Can Zam venue.

This reunion marks a significant moment for both the band and their fans. Twisted Sister prepares to celebrate five decades of heavy metal history with a carefully planned comeback tour.

Loudwire reported that the reunion lineup will include frontman Dee Snider alongside longtime guitarists Jay Jay French and Eddie Ojeda, drummer Joe Franco, known for playing on their 1987 album Love Is for Suckers, and bassist Russell Pzutto, who played on Snider’s last two solo albums. This configuration brings together both classic and more recent members of the band’s history.

The Barcelona show represents just the beginning of a broader touring strategy. Loudwire confirmed that guitarist Jay Jay French stated they plan to headline major festivals in Europe and play select shows in the United States starting as early as May 2026. Additional dates will be announced throughout the year.

The timing of this announcement coincides perfectly with Barcelona Rock Fest’s own milestone celebration. Loudwire noted that the festival will also celebrate its 10th anniversary during the event. The festival has confirmed other metal acts like Accept, Helloween, and Powerwolf. This makes the reunion show not only a milestone for Twisted Sister but also a highlight in the festival’s own history.

The band’s return comes after their farewell tour concluded in 2016. This makes the comeback particularly significant for fans who thought they had seen the last of the “We’re Not Gonna Take It” performers. The 50th anniversary tour promises to feature all their greatest hits. This ensures longtime supporters will experience the full catalog that made Twisted Sister heavy metal legends.
