Slaughter to Prevail Singer Reveals Permanent Damage to His Face After Bare Knuckle Fight

Slaughter to Prevail singer Alex Terrible has revealed the extent of facial injuries he sustained during bare knuckle fights. He shared x-ray images via his Instagram account.

The vocalist detailed the severe damage to his face. He explained how the bones around his nose were completely broken during the fight.

“It’s not the same? Well, all bones around my nose were completely broken, and my entire nose was pushed inward into the skull – then, during the fight, it moved back into place from the internal pressure,” Alex Terrible wrote in his post. “People find it hard to believe because it’s cool, and they don’t want to see me as cool.”

The singer expressed no regrets about his decision to participate despite the severity of the injuries.

“Historically shit for me. Was it worth it? — yes,” he continued. “Every second of it!”

The injuries occurred during a professional bare knuckle fight on July 5, 2025. Alex Terrible competed at Top Dog 37, an event organized by the Russian promotion Top Dog Fight in Moscow. Vice reported that he faced opponent Danil “Rugbist” Aleev in a brutal match that resulted in a loss by decision.

The medical consequences of the fight were severe. Loudwire detailed that Alex suffered multiple complex facial fractures, including fractures of the facial skeleton, internal right frontal sinus, internal walls of the fracture lines, and lower walls of both eye orbits. He also experienced pneumocephalus (air in the brain) and temporary loss of vision in his left eye for 30 seconds. This was followed by double vision for the remainder of the fight.

Following the fight, Alex Terrible shared graphic photos and videos showing severe bruising and swelling. He posted updates from the hospital where he received medical treatment including creams for his facial injuries. The vocalist delivered a powerful message about his experience despite the extensive damage. He referenced his faith and resilience.

“In the Bible, it’s written hundreds of times, never be afraid of anything. God will keep you in his heart,” he stated in a post-fight speech.

The deathcore frontman has maintained an active involvement in professional bare knuckle fighting alongside his music career. He is affiliated with Top Dog Fight as a serious competitor rather than a casual participant. The Mosh noted that despite his injuries, Alex continued with band activities and performed at the Inkcarceration Festival later in 2025. This demonstrated his commitment to both his fighting and musical pursuits.

The revelation has sparked discussion among fans about the risks associated with bare knuckle fighting. It has also raised questions about the dedication required to balance such a demanding combat sport with a professional music career.
