by KISS frontman Paul Stanley recently spoke about bandmate Gene Simmons’ car accident. He expressed relief that the incident didn’t result in serious injury in a statement shared with TMZ.
Stanley’s comments came in response to widespread concern from fans about Simmons’ condition following the recent accident.
When asked “How’s Gene doing? Everyone wants to know,” Stanley addressed the severity of the situation.
“It’s a miracle Gene didn’t get hurt,” Stanley said. “He could’ve gotten killed. It was scary for me.”
He went on to reassure fans about Simmons’ current condition.
“But he’s great,” he continued. “He’s at 100%. All good. He’s in great spirits. We got blessed lives.”
Stanley’s relief is understandable given the circumstances of the accident that occurred on October 7, 2025.
ABC7 reported that the 76-year-old bassist was driving his SUV on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California, when his vehicle veered across several lanes and collided with a parked car. Simmons told authorities he fainted just before the crash. His wife Shannon Tweed attributed the incident to a recent change in his medications combined with dehydration.
The KISS legend was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation but was released shortly after. Following the incident, Simmons took to social media to reassure his fans about his condition, as Parade noted.
“I’m completely fine,” Simmons said, calling it a “slight fender bender” and adding humorously that it happens especially to “horrible drivers” like himself.
AARP confirmed that no other injuries were reported in the accident. Simmons is recovering at home with his wife. The rock legend has since resumed work, demonstrating the full recovery that Stanley referenced in his recent comments.
