Ozzy Osbourne opened up about his past infidelities in his final book, ‘Last Rites,’ addressing the pain he caused his family. People reported the emotional confession.
In his book ‘Last Rites’, the rock legend reflected on his affairs during his marriage to Sharon and her reaction to his behavior.
“At some point you get trapped and you can’t stop seeing ’em, ‘cos you think they’ll go to the press or whatever,” Osbourne wrote. “Which is pretty much what happened. Sharon was like, ‘What the f— did you expect, Ozzy? If you’re seeing enough women, one of ’em’s gonna want more. And that’s the one who’s gonna bring the whole thing crashing down on everyone’s heads.’”
The confession also included an apology to those affected by his actions.
“I broke my wife’s heart, and I’m lucky she forgave me,” he continued. “I just hope all the people I hurt know how sorry I am — including the kids, who were badly affected. And that’s all I wanna say about any of that, ‘cos bringing it up just causes more pain.”
The revelations appear in Osbourne’s final memoir, which offers a candid look at both his legendary career and personal struggles. Consequence noted that ‘Last Rites’ was posthumously released on October 7, 2025, following Ozzy’s death on July 22, 2025, at the age of 76.
The 368-page memoir covers much more than his personal relationships. Barnes & Noble detailed that the book reflects on Ozzy’s extraordinary life and career, including his health struggles, his farewell tour, and his final performance at the “Back to the Beginning” concert, where he reunited with his Black Sabbath bandmates.
Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne were married from July 1982 until his passing in 2025. The couple briefly separated in 2016 due to Ozzy’s infidelity, but Sharon publicly forgave him and they reconciled. Sharon has been instrumental in managing Ozzy’s career and supporting him through his numerous health challenges over the years.
In his final years, Ozzy faced significant health issues. Consequence revealed that he suffered near-total paralysis from the neck down, which forced him to abandon his farewell tour in 2018. Despite these challenges, he managed to perform one final time with Black Sabbath in a concert streamed worldwide just before his passing.
The rock legend, often referred to as “The Godfather of Metal,” is celebrated for his contributions to music both with Black Sabbath and through his successful solo career. His final memoir stands as a testament to his remarkable life and the personal demons he battled along the way.
