New Details on Ace Frehley’s Passing Revealed: He Survived First Fall, Second One Killed Him

Guitarist Adam Bomb has shared new details about the circumstances surrounding Ace Frehley’s death. He revealed information about two separate falls that led to the legendary KISS guitarist’s passing. The statement was posted on Adam Bomb’s Facebook page.

Adam Bomb explained that he had spoken with Fifi Larue, who provided details about the events leading to Frehley’s death.

“I just had a long conversation with Fifi Larue. He had spoken with Eric Singer a few weeks ago. Apparently Ace fell down some stairs I guess in his home studio, he texted Eric and said he was OK – nothing to worry about,” Bomb said. “But around two days ago, he fell down again, I’m guessing the same flight of stairs, hit his head again, and had to be airlifted by helicopter out of his home to the hospital where he was in a coma, upon arrival. It’s hard to say why he was alone or who he was with or what caused him to fall down the stairs according to Fifi.”

Bomb also shared personal reflections about Frehley’s life and relationships.

“I’m a little sad that Ace broke up with his girlfriend that used to post all those live videos and Walmart videos and all that fun cool stuff that showed you how human Ace Frehley really was. Apparently, Ace was never able to get divorced with his estranged wife because let’s just say she was connected. Ace lived in New Jersey and La Familia is a very powerful force and just because the sopranos ended doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. Divorces can have dangerous consequencess in old family tradition,” he continued. “But anyway, he fell down the stairs a second time and hit his head again, and he had to airlifted to the hospital by helicopter. By the time he got there he was in a coma.”

The guitarist emphasized the severity of the situation and provided the official time of death.

“It doesn’t take a medical professional to know if you have to be airlifted to the nearest hospital in New Jersey, it’s obviously deadly serious. He was supposed to do two shows this week that he canceled because of the first incident two weeks ago, but he swore he was OK. They think the second fall was obviously much much worse and maybe he cracked his head open. I’m sick to report this. He was pronounced dead at 6:16 NYC – October 16, 2025,” Bomb stated.

Bomb shared his emotional response and reached out to fellow musicians and KISS members.

“I’ve cried 100,000 tears less than 24 hours. I wrote to Tommy to offer my love and support and wishing hin to go back in time and remember when we were just kids that had that giant KISS poster on our walls and focused in the cool and beautiful guitar player that inspired both of us to be a lead guitar player before we could even play a complete song. I also wrote to Gene but I don’t have a personal contact email fir him, maybe he’ll see it maybe he won’t – I really want him to plant 10,000 trees in Isreal in honor of Ace Frehley and I swear to God if I had the money I would do it myself,” he said. “The actual members of KISS have not said too much, but I believe uncle Gene is crying like a baby like I am in, and can’t get out of bed or bring himself to express his sorrow and sadness right now. For all that it’s worth I know he has a big heart.”

He concluded with a tribute to the late guitarist.

“I’m sure the corporation will come out with an official statement In coming hours or days the manner that they sign off on, whoever they is. From this day forward, Ace Frehley deserves the total respect of his creation, and I pray to God as a man of Jewish faith that Paul and Gene who I believe out of respect for their religion as well would feel the same. The actual time of death was 6:16 NYC time, I was on stage playing a show at dedicated to Ace and he probably stopped on by to hear Rock Like Fuck and the KISS set that we did which seemed to have an energy that was out of this world. The world mourns and the world celebrates you Ace. You’re one of a kind. Say hi to Johnny and Claire. I’ll see you when I get old enough to get in. God Speed to Paul ‘Ace’ Frehley,” Bomb concluded.

Frehley’s death marks the end of an era for rock music and the loss of one of the most influential guitarists in the history of the genre. The 74-year-old musician had been facing ongoing medical issues in the months leading up to his death. These issues had already forced him to cancel his 2025 tour dates.

Parade reported that Frehley passed away due to complications from a brain bleed following the fall at his studio. Following the incident, he was hospitalized and placed on life support as his family faced difficult end-of-life decisions with a poor prognosis.

Born Paul Daniel Frehley, the guitarist was a founding member of KISS and became known for his stage persona as “The Spaceman.” 6ABC noted that he co-founded KISS in 1973 alongside Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, and Peter Criss. He played on all their classic albums before leaving the band in 1982. He later rejoined in 1996 and departed again in 2002. After his initial departure from KISS, Frehley formed his own band, Frehley’s Comet, and pursued a successful solo career. He released several albums including his most recent one, “10,000 Volts,” in 2024.

Frehley’s guitar work and stage presence significantly influenced rock music, inspiring generations of musicians. He was inducted with KISS into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2014. Cincinnati.com highlighted that his influence extended across the music industry. Notable tributes came from musicians like Mike McCready of Pearl Jam, who cited Frehley as a hero.

Frehley’s family issued a statement expressing they were “completely devastated and heartbroken” by his passing. They cherished his memories and kindness. An official statement from KISS is expected in the coming days.
