Morrissey announces headline London show at the O2 Arena

Morrissey has confirmed details of a huge headline date at the O2 Arena in London next year.

The former frontman of The Smiths previously toured the UK and Ireland this summer, performing at the 3Arena in Dublin, two nights at the O2 Academy in Glasgow, and a special hometown show at the Co-op Live in Manchester.

London was conspicuously absent from his last visit to the United Kingdom, but now he’s unveiled plans to perform at the English capital’s biggest indoor arena on February 28th, 2026. Tickets are set to go on sale on October 10th at 9am.

The singer is currently on tour in North America and is scheduled to play at The Greek Theatre in California on October 11th. He will then visit Ontario and Tucson before returning to California to end his North American leg at the Inuit Dome in Los Angeles with special guests Social Distortion.

Then, Morrissey will visit Mexico City and Guadalajara on his way to South America for shows in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru and Colombia. His 2025 itinerary will end in December with further European shows in Greece and Turkey before resuming in the US in January.

Morrissey’s ongoing tour was derailed when a 26-year-old man named Noah Castellano was arrested for sending him a death threat on social media. Subsequently, his shows at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut, and at MGM Music Hall at Fenway in Boston, Massachusetts, were cancelled for safety reasons.

The threatening post read: “Steven Patrick Morrissey when you perform at TD Place here in Ottawa next week on the evening of September 12th, 2025 at about 9pm, I will be present at the venue in the audience and I will attempt to shoot you many times and kill you with a very large gun that I own illegally.”
