Former Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley has cancelled his remaining tour dates for 2025 due to health issues.
Frehley last performed live on September 5th at Uptown Fair in Providence. However, he had previously cancelled a planned concert at the Antelope Valley Fair in California on September 26th after falling ill while in the recording studio.
Last month, his representatives explained the cancellation in a message to fans, writing, “Dear Rock Soldiers, Ace had a minor fall in his studio, resulting in a trip to the hospital. He is fine, but against his wishes, his doctor insists that he refrain from travel at this time.”
Now, in a new update, all of his future live commitments for the rest of the calendar year have also been axed.
A representative said on behalf of the rocker: “Due to some ongoing medical issues, Ace has made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of his 2025 dates.”
Frehley had been due to play Lincoln Square Theater in Illinois, The Family Arena in Missouri, Brown County Music Center in Indiana, and The Token Lounge in Michigan.
According to his website, Frehley remains scheduled to perform at the Yaamava Resort and Casino in Highland, California, on February 26th, 2025.
Frehley, a founding member of Kiss, departed the group in 2002. Despite putting their masks down following a huge farewell show in 2023 at Madison Square Garden, Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, and Tommy Thayer are set to reunite as Kiss, without Frehley, at the Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their fan club.
In August, during a conversation with Guitar World, Frehley claimed he was asked to be part of the event but rejected the advances, sharing, “They asked me and I declined. There’s no way I’m gonna be involved with that, you know?”
