Sigala joked about wondering if Little Mix fans “bugged [his] studio” after they leaked his collaboration with the girl band’s former member Leigh-Anne Pinnock.<\/p>\n
The 32-year-old DJ-and-record producer worked with the 34-year-old singer on his new track Hello.<\/p>\n
Sigala – real name Bruce Fielder – told the Daily Star newspaper’s Wired column: “I mean, the Little Mix fan base is just next level, like I don’t have anywhere near that kind of fanbase.<\/p>\n
“And so working with Leigh-Anne, I’ve experienced some of that, it’s crazy how they find stuff out before.<\/p>\n
“I saw posts about it before we’d barely finished doing the day in the studio, it’s like they bugged my studio.<\/p>\n
“Because even when I barely sent it to anyone, and then suddenly, it’s like on social media, and I’m like, ‘OK, well, who’s the mole here? Like, what’s going on?'”<\/p>\n
He also revealed that Talia Mar’s song Stay the Night could have been a track for Little Mix – originally formed of Leigh-Anne, Jesy Nelson, 34, Perrie Edwards, 32, and 32 year old Jade Thirlwall.<\/p>\n
Sigala – has previously worked with Kylie Minogue, 57, RAYE, 27, and 31 year old Becky Hill – explained: “The song Stay the Night that I did with Talia Mar – before Talia did it, it was potentially gonna be Little Mix.<\/p>\n
“But I think it was around the time when they had Heartbreak Anthem, which was going crazy, and the timing didn’t really work out.<\/p>\n
“So the only time where it’s obviously tough to navigate is when something happens to the track.<\/p>\n
“You then have to go, ‘OK, I’m putting the song out, but it’s with this different person,’ and people get confused.”<\/p>\n
Hello is a feel-good, genre-splicing tune, and Sigala recently said he, Leigh-Anne and Indian music and film star Jonita came together in an unlikely collaboration to make the song.<\/p>\n
He said in a statement: “I’m so excited for the fans to hear what I’ve been cooking up in the studio these past few months, kicking things off with my new track Hello.<\/p>\n
“I love collaborating with other artists, and it feels perfect to have a superstar like Leigh-Anne and one of India\u2019s biggest talents – Jonita on this one with me – we had such a vibe creating this song and working together on the fun visualiser.”<\/p>\n
Leigh-Anne commented: “It might be an unexpected collaboration, but I think that\u2019s exactly what makes this track so unique.<\/p>\n
“We all bring something different to the table, different genres, different vibes, and it just works.<\/p>\n
“Working with Sigala and Jonita was such a vibe. I love Jonita\u2019s energy, and hanging out with Sigala throughout the process was fun.”<\/p>\n
Jonita added: \u201cHello is such a fun, feel-good song, and I collaborated with Sigala and Leigh-Anne on this track completely remotely, which reminds me that music can bring people together no matter where we come from.<\/p>\n
