The Los Angeles Times reported that the Jane\u2019s Addiction tour came to an abrupt halt in September 2024 after an onstage altercation between Farrell and Navarro during a concert in Boston on September 13. The incident was witnessed by fans and captured on video. It involved Farrell charging at and physically confronting Navarro during the performance.<\/p>\n
Following the altercation, Navarro, drummer Stephen Perkins, and bassist Chris Chaney released a public statement explaining their decision to cancel the tour. The band members stated that \u201cdue to a continuing pattern of behavior and the mental health difficulties of our singer Perry Farrell, we have no choice but to discontinue the current US tour.\u201d They expressed concern for Farrell\u2019s health and safety as well as their own.<\/p>\n
