Jennifer Aniston has said that she no longer feels women have an \u201cexpiration date\u201d in Hollywood in 2025.<\/p>\n
Aniston has been at the forefront of the film and television industry since making her name as part of Friends in the 1990s. Over that time, she has witnessed great change, including how women are being treated.<\/p>\n
In a new interview with Harper\u2019s Bazaar UK, Aniston said, \u201cThe societal idea of an expiration date just doesn\u2019t exist anymore \u2013 it\u2019s an old ideology. We\u2019re here and we\u2019re more than half the population\u2026 and would any of you schmucks be here if it weren\u2019t for us anyway?\u201d<\/p>\n
Aniston then shared what she believes women with life experience can bring to characters on screen, adding, \u201cThe wisdom older women have to contribute is quite extraordinary, and it\u2019s one of the areas where we\u2019ve seen genuine progress in the film world.\u201d<\/p>\n
She then said, \u201cI\u2019m not going to take credit for blazing anything\u201d, before giving props to Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Julianne Moore, and Sandra Bullock for paving the way for women in Hollywood.<\/p>\n
The star added, \u201cAll of these women who have been here, and are still here, have been examples of what we are capable of. So if we are trailblazers, I will gladly wear that with honour.\u201d<\/p>\n
Elsewhere, in the same interview, Aniston described AI as \u201csuch a runaway train\u201d and said that she is often sent deepfakes of herself by friends.<\/p>\n
The Morning Show also said of the rise of social media and the worrying impact it has on the younger generation, \u201cI\u2019m sure the guys who came up with it thought it was a great idea and, yeah, congratulations on your billions, but it has taken down a huge portion of humanity.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
