Cradle of Filth has cancelled another concert, this time in M\u00e9rida, following what the band describes as unprofessional treatment by local promoters and technical issues. The band shared a statement on Instagram.<\/p>\n
The band\u2019s official statement addressed the cancellation and the circumstances that led to it.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are really sorry to have had to cancel this show Filthlings. We will make it up to you as soon as possible,\u201d the band said in their statement.<\/p>\n
The band explained the technical difficulties they encountered during the event.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe regret the cancellation of today\u2019s Cradle of Filth show in M\u00e9rida. Unfortunately, there was a power outage in the city that complicated the technical issues for the local promoters, who were two hours late from the start,\u201d they continued. \u201cThe power was out, and three members of our team were victims of electrical shocks, which shouldn\u2019t happen on any production.\u201d<\/p>\n
The statement then addressed the conflict with the promoters.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe promoters didn\u2019t accept this in a professional manner and targeted members of our staff and our artist. Francisco Alberto de la Cruz Rosa of OnsiteLive and his partners basically attacked Cradle of Filth in an unprofessional and cowardly manner,\u201d the band stated. \u201cWe condemn this incident and urge all bands in the area NOT to work with these unprofessional individuals.\u201d<\/p>\n
Sergio Roa from Drmrs Entertainment added further details about the situation.<\/p>\n
\u201cUntil right now, they have picked the phone zero times and we got able to help our artist by external people to the show, due that the \u2018promoters\u2019 kept the venue closed so no one went in or out,\u201d Roa explained.<\/p>\n
This cancellation follows recent changes in the band\u2019s lineup. Zo\u00eb M. Federoff announced her departure from Cradle of Filth, followed by her husband Marek \u201cAshok\u201d \u0160merda being dismissed from the group. The band has also had to cancel several other concerts citing technical reasons. Additionally, the band has disabled comments on their social media posts to prevent negative reactions.<\/p>\n
