\u201cOur brand-new Christmas album The Greatest Gift of All is officially up for pre-order! We have wanted to record a Christmas album for many years,\u201d Sweet said. \u201cEver since we released our first single (\u2018Reason For The Season\u2019) back in 1985, the fans have been asking for a full-length Christmas album. Well, the time has finally come.\u201d<\/p>\n
The band chose to balance traditional and original material for their festive release.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe wanted to make an album of five traditional songs and five original songs,\u201d Sweet continued. \u201cTo put our own spin on our own Christmas album and not follow the pack, so to speak. We could not be more pleased with how it turned out!\u201d<\/p>\n
Sweet also revealed details about the album\u2019s singles. This includes updated versions of classic tracks.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe obviously re-recorded \u2018Reason For The Season\u2019 and \u2018Winter Wonderland\u2019 and we decided to go with \u2018Winter Wonderland\u2019 as the next single just to give you an idea of what it might sound like today in 2025,\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019re happy to say that we finally have our own Christmas album and hopefully it will become a fan favorite year after year.\u201d<\/p>\n
