Former Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach recently answered Syncin\u2019 Stanley\u2019s questions about KISS singer Paul Stanley\u2019s \u2018rumored\u2019 backing tracks usage.<\/p>\n
In a recent YouTube video shared on September 3, Bach was defensive of Stanley while stating why he didn\u2019t have a \u2018problem\u2019 with the singer\u2019s possible lip-syncing. He said:<\/p>\n
\u201cMy position on that is that if you are in your 70s; if you\u2019re 72 and you gotta put on foot-high monster boots and a Godzilla a Godzilla costume and hook yourself up to wires and fly to the top of the roof and sing, a guy in that age, I don\u2019t really have a problem with a guy that\u2019s in his 70s or 80s that might use the technology to give us a show.\u201d<\/p>\n
However, this didn\u2019t mean the Skid Row singer \u2018approved\u2019 using backing tracks:<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t mind the technology being used for its proper thing, like an old dude giving a show, trying his best. But he\u2019s old, right? What I do have a f*cking problem with \u2014 excuse my language there, but you know who you\u2019re talking to here \u2014 I don\u2019t like when I have an opening band who\u2019s 23 and they have the whole show on a click track and the background vocals are going.\u201d<\/p>\n
He continued by once again defending Stanley and the singer\u2019s \u2018possible\u2019 preference to lip-sync:<\/p>\n
\u201cIf KISS were in their twenties, I would not like them to use tapes. Or if they were like an athlete one day and said, \u2018Oh, I think I wanna be a rock star.\u2019 And then they just get up there and do jumping jacks and have a tape going, I\u2019ve got a problem with that. I don\u2019t have a problem with a 75-year-old man giving me the show that he\u2019s always given, but also\u2026 We\u2019re not, as fans, d*cks.\u201d<\/p>\n
After accusations regarding Paul\u2019s lip-sync, KISS\u2019 representatives and manager dismissed the rumors, stating the frontman did not use backing tracks while performing live.<\/p>\n
However, whether Stanley is actually using backing vocals or not could be a question that\u2019ll go down in history soon, as KISS\u2019 farewell tour is reaching its end, and perhaps, the frontman might take a break from performing live.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
