Cassyette thinks Bring Me the Horizon is great for pushing rock music forward.<\/p>\n
Metal Hammer recently asked the singer about the 10 records that influenced her as a musician and fan. One of her choices was Bring Me the Horizon\u2019s \u2018Kingslayer\u2019 song with Babymetal from the band\u2019s 2020 release \u2018Post Human: Survival Horror.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u201cBring Me The Horizon released this really cool EP and it had Babymetal on, and I loved that through lockdown,\u201d Cassyette explained. \u201cIt was so cool and experimental \u2013 I was partying on my own a lot and got obsessed with it. There were a lot of raging nights to that song!\u201d<\/p>\n
The musician continued, \u201cIf someone has been going to Download for a long time, I think there\u2019s a culture that can be gatekeep-y, especially about the headliners. Which is a real shame, because I think Bring Me The Horizon are amazing and they are pushing rock music further and further forwards.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s not always going to necessarily be the best song ever \u2013 if you\u2019re experimenting, that\u2019s just not going to happen because you\u2019re trying out new stuff and it doesn\u2019t always work \u2013 but it\u2019s all in the eye of the beholder and I\u2019m gassed they are headlining [festivals] because their music is so lawless \u2013 they break every single rule and do what they want, pulling in references from all over music. What more could you want?\u201d the singer further said.<\/p>\n
Cassyette isn\u2019t the only artist who thinks like that for Bring Me the Horizon. Evanescence\u2019s Amy Lee also believes Bring Me the Horizon will be important for the future of heavy music.<\/p>\n
\u201cWell, they\u2019re not too young, but kind of. I really love Bring Me the Horizon. They think young. They\u2019re very innovative,\u201d Lee told Revolver earlier this year. \u201cI feel like [their music is] completely heavy, but it also has so much beautiful, tasteful pop influence. Which is so my jam. The melodies and the electronics and everything are so hooky. l really, really like that band a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n
