John Lydon isn\u2019t a fan of Taylor Swift\u2019s music.<\/p>\n
The singer recently spoke on NME\u2019s \u2018Does Rock N Roll Kill Braincells?!\u2019 and said he doesn\u2019t follow modern punk bands like IDLES or Fontaines D.C. Then, he was asked about his past support for Lady Gaga.<\/p>\n
Lydon responded, \u201cLady Gaga was a massively layered and textured presentation \u2013 very Bowie era and pop music at its finest. But what she\u2019s turned into is Bizarro World. She\u2019s acting in films, and I don\u2019t like her as a human being.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t think she projects anything healthy. I don\u2019t feel any soul. I don\u2019t feel her heart in it. It seems a shame. She should have another side to her,\u201d the rocker further said of Gaga.<\/p>\n
He went on to talk about Swift, explaining, \u201cShe\u2019s incredibly dull. There\u2019s a whole history of that kind of singer in America: the pop teenage trivia thing. What she\u2019s grown into is too elaborate and she\u2019s trapped by not meaning to annoy her fanbase \u2013 oh f*ck off!\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cNo really, it\u2019s just daft. She\u2019s got no place to go, so it\u2019s gone into swishy ballroom-gown vibe. She\u2019s going to be another one of those that ends up in Vegas, because that\u2019s the only place left and that\u2019s no future at all, is it?\u201d Lydon predicted about Swift\u2019s future.<\/p>\n
Lydon\u2019s former bandmates Steve Jones, Glen Matlock, and Paul Cook announced a semi-reunion tour with Frank Carter replacing him. \u201cI wrote the f*cking songs, didn\u2019t I? I gave them the image as the frontman,\u201d Lydon said of their decision to continue with a new vocalist. \u201cI am the voice what made the whole world sing.\u201d<\/p>\n
He continued, \u201cNow you\u2019re going out\u2026 As they did the year before with Billy Idol. It\u2019s just karaoke really. I would love to be embarrassed by high-quality songwriting from them. They\u2019ve had long enough to get that together now, haven\u2019t they? But no, they profess their hatred for me but they can\u2019t live without me.
