David Lee Roth Responds To Metallica Fans After Recent Criticism

David Lee Roth had previously received backlash after using Metallica’s ‘Enter Sandman’ in a YouTube video. Now, it seems that the former singer of Van Halen has managed to win Metallica fans’ hearts, as he used the track again in another video and received nothing but praise.

The rocker recently shared a video named, ‘Metal Fu Pt. 1,’ and showed off his martial arts skills. ‘Enter Sandman’ accompanied Roth all throughout the video, and it seemed that fans loved it. One comment stated:

“Perfect soundtrack.”

Another one followed by praising the mix of the metal outfit and Roth:

“Dave [and] Metallica! Two great tastes that taste great together.”

Then, another fan joked by pointing out how Dave’s martial arts moves kept the streets clean:

“Dave keeping the crime off the streets.”

The comments, overall, were filled with praise, as one follower said:

“Dave’s just the best! I’d say the [most] interesting rock and roll personality of my lifetime.”

It seemed that Metallica fans have made their peace with Dave’s usage of ‘Enter Sandman’ in his action-filled videos, though not every song he picked for his videos received praise. The rocker recently chose to feature a ‘controversial’ pop star’s track in a recent video and received mixed reviews.

The frontman had also spoken about his love and respect for martial arts before, as he’d previously praised his admiratiın for kenjutsu and revealed how his former VH bandmate Eddie Van Halen was the ‘mirror image’ of his ‘master’ Eric Clapton.
