Chester Bennington’s kid, Draven Bennington, is working on new music with Slipknot’s Sid Wilson. Her mother, Samantha Bennington, announced on Instagram.
Samantha shared photos from the studio and provided details about how the collaboration came together.
“There were only 5 of us in the studio that day, NRG Recording Studios, and we all wanted DJ LeTHaL, Sid Wilson, who would call Lee?” she said. “All of us love him, and I wanted to reach out to my friend. This was on a Wednesday, I meditated on Thursday, I left a voice text over coffee Friday AM ,and we were in the studio’s Monday!”
She expressed excitement about the alignment of the project and the creative process.
“We are in alignment with God, Music, and the Universe!” she continued. “Neither camps knew what was going on in the inside, but now we do! God Bless! Dropping music this year! Round 2 Bennington’s! Draven is keeping it so real! Hot damn!”
The announcement confirms that new music from Draven Bennington’s project is expected to be released this year.
This collaboration marks a significant step in Draven’s emerging music career as she continues her father’s legacy in the music industry.
98online reported that Draven recently released her debut solo rap single titled “F_w_Me.” The single features an icy beat and a confident vocal style. It marked the beginning of her professional music career and demonstrated her commitment to carrying forward her father’s musical legacy.
The partnership with Sid Wilson represents a fusion of different musical styles and generations. Wilson, known as the turntablist for Slipknot, brings decades of experience in the alternative and metal genres to the collaboration.
The collaboration signals a potentially broader musical direction for Draven, who has primarily focused on hip-hop in her early releases. Working with an artist of Slipknot’s caliber could expand her stylistic range and introduce her music to a wider audience across different genres.
The involvement of NRG Recording Studios, a renowned facility in the music industry, further underscores the professional nature of this project. With the promise of new music dropping this year, fans of both Chester Bennington’s legacy and Slipknot’s innovative sound have much to anticipate.
