The superstar musician took to X to announce the list of confirmed cast members in her upcoming movie. In a strobe-lit, neon video, names jumped out of the screen one after the other. Those names included Rosanna Arquette, Kate Berlant, Jamie Demetriou, and Arielle Dombasle.
Other huge names include Hailey Benton Gates, Kylie Jenner, Trew Mullen, Mel Ottenberg, Richard Perez, Isaac Powell, Rachel Sennott, Rish Shah, Alexander Skarsgard, Tish Weinstock, Michael Workéyè, and the musician Shygirl. A. G. Cook, Charli’s friend and long-time collaborator, will supply the music.
The teaser also included the statement, “I just want this moment to last forever,” a sentiment that will most likely lie at the heart of the movie.
Only a single statement constitutes the plot details so far: “A rising pop star navigates the complexities of fame and industry pressure while preparing for her arena tour debut.” It was written by Aidan Zamiri and Bertie Brandes.
Charli’s experience shooting to new heights of fame during “Brat summer” will surely be a key influence on the project. So far, the project has no confirmed release date, though it will be released in theatres in 2026.
Charli has been busy intermingling her hyper-pop sound into the world of film. Recently, it was confirmed that the British superstar will contribute original songs to the soundtrack of Emerald Fennell’s upcoming adaptation of Wuthering Heights. Jacob Elordi and Margot Robbie will star as the film’s leads.
The ‘Party 4 U’ singer is also set to star in and produce the next film from prolific Japanese horror director Takashi Miike, though the pair are keeping details of the collaboration close to their chests. She recently starred in Peter Ohs’ Erupcja.
