Alex Terrible Explains: This Is Why You Should Love Ronnie Radke

Slaughter to Prevail frontman Alex Terrible recently defended Falling in Reverse’s Ronnie Radke. He shared his personal experience working with the controversial musician in a statement posted on Instagram.

The comments came in response to a fan’s question about what it’s like to work with Radke and what kind of person he is.

“Listen guys. You can think or say anything about him. But I will always be grateful to this person, because toward me and my band, he has always been very respectful and supportive,” Alex Terrible said. “Do you know how much it costs just to play one song together with them? Just one song? Yeah, it costs money. Every single minute of pyro costs money, if you didn’t know.”

The vocalist emphasized Radke’s generosity in allowing Slaughter to Prevail to perform with Falling in Reverse’s full production setup.

“And he just decided that we would perform our song with them – with the whole damn production they use on their stage,” he continued. “He simply chose to do it because he wanted to play with us. He spends his own big money just to perform with us. If that means nothing to you, to me personally, it means a lot. I respect him and I’m thankful to him and his band for what they do for us.”

The statement highlights the financial investment involved in live performances and Radke’s willingness to share resources with supporting acts.

Alex Terrible’s defense comes at a time when Radke continues to evolve as both an artist and performer. This evolution persists despite facing numerous controversies throughout his career.

Wikipedia reported that Radke’s musical journey has been marked by notable resilience and evolution. After his release from prison in 2010, he swiftly formed Falling in Reverse. He transformed personal setbacks into creative fuel for his music.

The band’s sound has continuously evolved from its emo roots to incorporate elements of metalcore, pop punk, and hip-hop influences. Epitaph Records noted that their 2024 album Popular Monster features multiple RIAA-certified gold singles. This demonstrates Radke’s continued artistic growth and commercial success in rock music.

Radke’s history has been characterized by overcoming personal and legal challenges that have often overshadowed his musical achievements. However, The Metal Verse documented that he has maintained a dedicated fanbase and demonstrated leadership by expanding Falling in Reverse’s musical reach. He has also staged elaborate live shows.

The elaborate productions that Alex Terrible referenced are part of Radke’s commitment to delivering high-quality performances. These shows often feature extensive pyrotechnics, stage effects, and production values that require significant financial investment. This makes his willingness to share these resources with supporting acts like Slaughter to Prevail particularly meaningful within the metal community.
