Ace Frehley Hospitalized After Scary Fall, Cancels Show

Former KISS guitarist Ace Frehley was hospitalized following a fall in his studio. This forced him to cancel his upcoming performance at the Antelope Valley Fair. The news was announced through an official statement posted on Ace Frehley’s social media accounts.

The statement addressed fans directly. It explained the circumstances behind the show cancellation and provided reassurance about Frehley’s condition.

“Dear Rock Soldiers, Ace had a minor fall in his studio, resulting in a trip to the hospital,” the statement read. “He is fine, but against his wishes, his doctor insists that he refrain from travel at this time. As a result, he is forced to cancel his performance at the Antelope Valley Fair in Lancaster, California on Friday, September 26th.”

The statement also encouraged fans to continue supporting the event. It provided updates on Frehley’s future plans.

“Please go to the fair to support his friends in Quiet Riot and Vixen, and Ace looks forward to continuing on his tour and finishing work on his next album, ‘Origins Vol. 4’,” the statement continued.

This recent health scare adds to a series of challenges the legendary guitarist has faced. He has been maintaining an active touring schedule and working on new music projects.

Metal Injection reported that Frehley’s doctor diagnosed him with exhaustion and dehydration during a prior recent hospitalization. The doctor confirmed he will make a full recovery with rest. The medical professional advised that once released, Frehley would return to Southern California to recuperate before resuming tour activities.

The upcoming Origins Vol. 4 album represents the continuation of a successful series where Frehley pays tribute to his musical influences through cover songs. Louder Sound noted that he has recorded previous volumes with producer Alex Salzman. He is known for rapidly completing the Origins albums since they involve cover songs rather than original compositions.

Despite the setback, Frehley’s commitment to both his touring obligations and studio work remains strong. Blabbermouth revealed that the guitarist has been actively working on the new album while maintaining a busy performance schedule. This demonstrates his dedication to his craft even as he approaches his mid-70s.

The cancellation affects not only Frehley’s fans but also the broader lineup at the Antelope Valley Fair. Quiet Riot and Vixen were scheduled to perform alongside the former KISS member. The statement’s encouragement for fans to still attend and support these acts reflects Frehley’s ongoing commitment to the rock community and his fellow musicians.
